Tom Miyagawa Coulton
<MC>
Tom Coulton, relocated from Tokyo to Mitarai on the island of Osaki Shimojima, Kure City in 2015. He is a professional photographer, writer and translator who co-founded the popular food website The Setouchi Cookbook. He also runs an English tea shop called The Tea Cosy on weekends. He has renovated two old Japanese houses and runs the volunteer group Tobishima Life assisting people who want to relocate to the Tobishima Kaido islands.

As Jason was approaching 40, he decided he was no longer interested in corporate advancement and traded life in Singapore for the Seto Inland Sea.
Jason & his wife had no idea what they were going to do and it was going to
be a huge lifestyle flip for the kids but ultimately, creating time together was most important. Fast forward 3 years, they now have a citrus orchard by the sea and a home tucked away in the mountains on Osakikamijima.

Damon E. Chapman

Damon E. Chapman is originally from Los Angeles (U.S), and now lives full-time in Hiroshima. He has been a university teacher for over 20 years, and about 14 years ago, bought an old country house about 50 km. from Hiroshima city. After reforming it for 5 years, it is done and he now enjoys growing lots of vegetables which he eats, shares with friends and trades at a local restaurant! He also loves skiing in the local resorts in winter His land grew from about 1000 sq. meters in the beginning to over 5000 sq. meters now. He loves country life !
